We got over 3" last night. We have a 3' deep pool by the suburban
that is rising. Don't think we are going to go anywhere today, just stay
home and hibernate. Still raining, actually it just started fairly hard
again. Am listening to the scanner, there is flooding in almost all the
canyons and arroyos this morning. They have a truck underwater up
on the queens road, they cant see the driver and the rescue vehicles
are now trapped between flooded crossings. Our roads out of here
are flooded and rising, which means we may not be able to get out for
a day or 2. They are starting to barricade some of the low water
crossings in Carlsbad and Artesia due to rising water. Temps outside
are 62 and to think, 2 days ago at this time it was already 100 hot and
sunny. Does anyone have any "Gopher Wood"?? Just looked at the rain
guage, we have had another 1.25" since I dumped them at 6 this morning.
