Thanks Mike! I'll go check them
out. I want to find a source for the Mylar with small bubbles in it that
Iain sent to me. That makes a really great crease fly. I've
seen the pattern on Fish Skin but not in Mylar so it must be here
somewhere.

Dollar Stores have mylar in
both strips and sheets in many colors.

Even Mylar balloons the kids or grandkids have
after the balloon dies use the mylar for your crease flies. This will
improve your color choices.

Subject: [VFB] Crease Flies
Well I finished my crease flies last week for
the swap but now I can't stop playing with them.
I started making up a couple of special
patterns for a friends care package. I was using some holographic
gift-wrap foil. It worked great!!! Better than
anything I've used yet. The metallic transfer foil doesn't
hold the colors of the markers as bright as the plastic gift foil
does. I just glued my foam body in place on the hook with the
sticky side out, removed the backing and applied the foil over
it then trimmed it to shape. I prefer to trim it once on
the fly because it will stretch and lift near the belly when you fold it
otherwise.
I think you can find this kind of gift wrap
in most Hallmark or better confectionary type stores that wrap candy or
other odd shaped gifts in it.
Keep tying and have fun,
Deb
