Innovative Saltwater Flies by Veverka and it has a chapter on Crease flies. He ties his shrimp crease fly a lot like you tied your squid. If you're interested I'll try to get my husband to scan that page unless you have access to the book. He did his shrimp segments with what looks like monofilament. I had never seen that one. He also has a squid that is very close to the one we've already found on the web.
