There
was just a big article in "Fly Fish America" about sight fishing for carp in
urban waters. It is a great article, but unfortunately, there is not a
whole lot of carp in Eastern Oregon.

I have just tried my hand at catching carp on
flies.
I only went for a couple of hours cause it's
boiling hot today here in southern England.
Caught two on a Deer Hair Sedge type pattern then
changed to type of muddler head clipped to imitate a trout pellet ( it
was made of deer hair so i'm calling it a fly ) caught three on that straight
away before my stomach got the better of me and I went home for
lunch.
I don't think it will be too long before I have
another try though.
