Had one created 2 Mondays ago....Fishing the Manistee River in Michigan (near High Bridge) with a guide and my son.  As we were heading back upstream (river boat with motor) there was a bald eagle flying about 15 feet above the river right with us - we were doing about 51 mph...too cool!

I asked the guide (Jon Ray from Hawkins Outfitters) who he hates guiding with - he answered in the positive - he prefers people like me who are out to have fun with their son, watch the eagles, check out the wildlife, and maybe catch a few fish!

Living would be easier if men showed as much patience at
home as they do when they're fishing.

So, as slow as things have been on the vfb, I though I'd open up a thread of what we find memorable sights, sounds, smeels, feelings, etc., as we are flyfishing in our favorite spots for our favorite fish.
