Like you , I rarely use wax, I teach my students to dub without it. I do use it for seal and a couple of synthetic materials if I have to. I have a tube of Wonder wax that I bought 15 years ago. It sits on my tying bench and I could of sold it a number of times. I was offered 15.00 for it at a show I was doing. I have compared the Wonder wax with several other waxes that were given to me as samples, the Wonder Wax always came out on top. The toilet ring wax is real close but I don't think it is the same, I think it is better than some of the waxes on the market now. Even though I don't use wax very much myself, I do a lot of shows and try the products that are given to me for testing. I also talk to a lot of other tyers and when it comes to wax and the long time tyers will most times refer to Wonder Wax.
