Hi everyone...

I'm back from my 2nd camping trip, this time a week at the same place as last time
(Bear Canyon Lake)

My flies aren't pretty, but they do appear to catch fish, so that's a win :)

I tried Arizona Peacock Ladies, and didn't get any strikes. What worked, amazingly
enough was "Rick's Caddis" from the Skip Morris book "Fly Tying Made Clear And
Simple". That and what I was taught was a 'black gnat' ... pretty much like this one:
http://www.worleybuggerflyco.com/flypatterninde/black_gnat.htm . I also ad-libbed a
montana with a green flourescent thorax since they seemed to be hitting on flourescent
green crankbait (at least I was told that by the others at the lake). I got hits on
that one as well, so was pleased.

All-in-all a good 6-days at the lake, and now trying to get back in the swing of
work...

-Dave
