Before I begin - I hope Steve will forgive me for sharing this. I meant to share this before I left the island for the mainland but did not get it done.
I had an email discussion with Steve Clark. He is emotionally in a quandary. He noticed some on the list challenging the prayers - after all this is a flyfishing list and not a religious one. Those that asked for prayers seemed to come in a bunch and some were not thrilled with the threads direction. At this same time Steve who has had cancer before found out that it is now in his colon. He and his family are very emotional right now and reaching out for some place to get understanding and help. Steve is not physically too strong and this is trying his strength. I appreciate that there are those on the list that are not religious and respect that. On the hand when Denny, Jimi or Steve reach out for a hand of fellowship, regardless or your convictions I have to think that there is power in friendship and if nothing else a brotherhood of friends offers hope in a time of crisis. That sustaining power may ease some burden when you hear something like a doctor say you hav! e cancer. Mike
