hello friends.....

I am currently gearing up for a trip west to attend a workshop for the nature printing society..... then have 5-6 days for fishing....

I will be staying in Charleston, at Coos Bay, on the coast at the outlet of the Rogue River of Zane Grey notoriety . I should be in time (I Hope) for salmon and steelhead runs, along with opportunities for the infamous "half pounders" or raging immature steelies in the 14-20 inch class.

It may also be possible that there are Stripers around.

thats about all I know....

Anyone can help me with what to expect, flies, fly shop locations, boat rentals, good fishing spots and other advice , rod, line weights, and types, etc. it would be greatly appreciated....

this si my first trip west of Montana, so it would also be nice to meet up with any listers in the vicinity.... anyone who wishes to come and play in the water would be welcome...

Also, I am arriving and leaving from Portland, so straying from the coos bay and Rogue.. days available for fishing would be Friday the 17th thru weds the 22nd.... need to be in Portland on the 23...

wish you could all be there .............. vacations reviving

thanks,

Splinta
