HEY FELLOWS, LET'S NOT FORGET WHO SPONSORS THE VIRTUAL FLYBOX.
WE SHOULD BE BUYING MOST OF OUR MATERIALS FROM LINE'S END, AS NICK SAID. THAT'S WHAT KEEPS THE VFB "AFLOAT". AND REMEMBER, IF WE PAY OUR DUES TO VIRTUAL FLYBOX, WE GET A DISCOUNT AT LINE'S END.
Allan
Good deal Nick. Here's a couple more good sites for "things." One is Badger Creek Fly Tying at www.eflytyer.com and his email is [EMAIL PROTECTED] ....his name is Mike Hogue. Also www.rockymountainflies.com is very good. I guess it all depends on what your after too. Some of the on-line "stores" can do this and some can do that. Good luck with it. mark........

Shows... yeah, that'll be the day. When and how will I ever get to one of
those? But I'm not that sad over it. I found the bargain that goes by the
name Line'sEnd. When I placed my $80 order, I also made a "curiousity" order
beside it... same stuff with the prices I would have to pay if I ordered it
from Sweden. That one came up to $160... and it was still a few things short
(couldn't find them here).
Not too long ago I thought I made a good deal. 1/2 black and 1/2 grizzly
Whiting neck mounted together. Good bargain for me. I didn't have to pay for
two, but they would last me a good while anyway. If I had waited for a while
I could have made an even better bargain... buying two COMPLETE necks from
Line'sEnd for the exact same price as I'd just paid for one combined!!!!!
So, even though I don't see many (or any) "show bargains" in the future, I
don't cry about it. I'm still really grateful for stumbling in on Line'sEnd.
/Nick

Nick, if you can(?),....... forget tackle shops, lol. Try and do most of
your materials, tools, vise, etc., etc. purchases at the "Shows." expecially
on the last day of the show when the vendors don't want to have to take
anything they don't have to, back to the shop(s). That's when/and where
you'll get the best deals. I prolly spend 30 days a year or more, at a show
of some kind, and that gives me a good chance to make some really good buys.
You also have the power to dicker at the shows, and pit the vendors against
eachother. Kind of like running back and forth from music store to music
store on 48th St. in Manhattan. "Well.........this guys said........" Nice
guy right, LMAO. Hey, when opprotunity strikes, i'm to well raised to
refuse. mark.........
