Gary, i've met A.K. a few times at the shows, and spent a few hours with him 
in the bar at the hotel in Somerset where the International Fly Tying 
Symposium is held each year, watching the Super Bowl etc. IMHO, he's really 
one of the giants of fly tying......commercially or otherwise. What he knows 
about dying alone is worth a fortune. He also has tons of tricks for speed 
tying, or helping you to be more productive if you tye commercially. PLUS, 
he's a funny cat, and really "Real." Hard core to the bone. mark.........

Just remember that commercial tyer   A. K. Best  says
he needs to tie about 100 dozen a  new pattern before he feels comfortable
tying it.  I don't know if he ties for swaps though. And as we all know,
that's whole 'nother level.  LOL
