I think maybe part of the problem in replying is when the message we are replying to already has several replies attached. Maybe just attaching the crux of the matter might help rather than every "yup" " nope " and " maybe" will keep the fille size down.

I was having trouble with posting using outlook. About 90% of my posts were being rejected or just not going through. That problem disappeared when I switched to using text as the message format instead of the HTML format default. I don't notice any differences in any other functions on incoming mail.

Just a little reminder, as there are so many new members on the site.
Byard has put a size limit on posts of 4kb, in order to stop viruses.
Posts with special fancy fonts (rich text), backgrounds, extensive hot links in the signature, etc. make for larger posts, especially when tagged on with a reply. I've sent small replies to emails lately and checked them when they never posted. The size was 8KB on one, although the messages were quite short.
