Sorry to hear that, but I know how it goes. I have been trying to get caught
up since the rain stopped. Managed to get the roof on the shop pulled apart
and rebuilt. Now to just get it shingled. I have a to do list about a page
long that has to be done before winter. Maybe we will get someone to fill
the spot on the swap. Just be careful and don't push yourself. Did you ever
get the papers to the VA in ABQ?
Jimi
Jimi,
As much as I truly hate to do this, I going to have to bow out of the "Life
Cycle Swap"... I've got so many things that MUST be done by the end of
December, I really don't see how I'll have the time to sit down and tie up
the required flys for the swap... For example, next week I have to attend a
"Paramedic Refresher Course", (mandatory, to keep my certification), the 5th
and 6th of next month I have to take an ACLS, (Advanced Cardiac Life
Support), and PALS, (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) recertification
courses, and the 11th thru the 13th of next month I'll be in Phoenix for my
Dad's "Surprise 75th Birthday Party", (it may be the last time I see him,
his health isn't good at all)... I also still need 18 credit hours of CE's
("Continuing Education", I need 48 total by the end of December)...
To all involved in the "Christmas Swap", I designed and created a new fly,
(haven't named it yet), on a #6 Salmon/Steelhead hook, with red and green
Marabou and Junglecock feathers... Looks beautiful... I've got about half
of them done right now, and will most definitely have them completed by the
deadline...
Again, I'm sorry that I have to bow out, Jimi... I was really enthused
about this swap because I found a really nice "cycle stage" for the "BWO"
that I was going to tye up...
Talk with you soon..
Rodney...
