Critter, and all newbies, The mess swap is a closed swap, with only those who submit photos getting the photos of others back. I'm sure you can imagine the reasons for this. You wouldn't want to let just anyone into your house, eh?
These photos are not to be posted by any swapper in a public venue, web site, mag, rag, or other. Same reason. Since the vfb is like a family, we all trust each other and most have an 'open door' policy with the vfb friends. The confidence we have in each other is not shared with the general public at large. It's a shame, but that's how life is. But it's nice to have the vfb! That being said, if you want to see the photos of other vfb'er tying areas, desks, and rooms, all you have to do is sign up with Rene, submit photos of your 'mess' (don't straighten up before photos), and when he has a sufficient amount to warrant the work, he will submit that group to the present group and all previous groups. Also, the new group will get the previous group's photos. The swap grows with each new generation, and so does Rene's work. Since it seems to becomming a 'tradition', what, 5 STM's now, Rene is in line for some rewards for his hard work. My room has cluttered up a bit since the last go-round, so I'll re-submit new photos and add a little thank-you bonus for the work involved. I anyone wants to send Rene a lil' bonus, I'm sure he'd appreciate it, although I know he's not doing it for material gain. So do we. > http://promotions.yahoo.com/new_mail -- "To go fishing is the chance to wash one's soul with pure air, with the rush of the brook, or with the shimmer of sun on blue water. It brings meekness and inspiration from the decency of nature, charity toward tackle-makers, patience toward fish, a mockery of profits and egos, a quieting of hate, a rejoicing that you do not have to decide a darned thing until next week. And it is discipline in the equality of men - for all men are equal before fish." ( ~ Herbert Hoover ~ )
