Afternoon folks,
Thought I would pass on some news about one of our VFB members. Amanda
has again, (as usual), made the high "A" Honor roll , in the running again
for the "Deans List". She also made 1st Chair flute with a perfect score in
testing, (she gained higher scores than all the 9th graders, she is 8th
grade). She has been selected to test for District and State band
competition this upcoming month.
Also, the winter concert, (some of you may remember them simucasting it
on the internet), is tentatively going to be simulcast again. The Concert
date is December 14th, so mark it on your calendars. The web site for the
station that will broadcast it is, KSVP, Radio http://www.ksvpradio.com/
you can also e-mail them at : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Address it to Gene Dow, he
is the station manager and a really good person. Request that they lease
simulcast it on the internet as well. If they get a lot of e-mail requests
for it to be on internet from all across the country and from overseas, they
will set up and take notice. Besides, you will all enjoy the concert anyway,
knowing that a fly fishing buddy is playing lead on the flute section.
To say that her mom and I are proud of Amanda is an understatement, but
she is turning out to be even a greater kid than we had hoped for.
