>Please tell me more about that #16 EGD-FW?

The EGD is indeed an eastern green drake, made with a sparkly pale-spring-green
dubbing that I hand-dye and make. The FW is actually for a fuzzy-wing, something I
came up with (I'm sure others have done likewise) where the wing is a doubled-over
piece of antron yarn tied parachute style and frayed. The hackle, however, isn't
wrapped parachute style, but is wrapped "standard" style, 2 wraps in front and behind
the upright antron wings. The recipe is really easy, with those things (the
spring-green dubbing, the grizzley-dyed-yellow hackle, and the pale-yellow yarn) and a
tri-tail of three microtippets in olive. For smaller flies, a few ginger hackle barbs
work for the tail. I'll ship ya' a pack of dubbing and a sample fly on a card. Kinda
my 'signature' fly, as it floats in the film or maybe an inch below the surface, if
the yarn gets waterlogged. I treat the dubbing with dry-fly-floatant, and use heavy
waxing for dubbing, so that I get it to float like a cork.
Well, I have to get back to work so I can visit the in-laws...
Tight wraps,
Pete
