DonO: Between the time I left my office yesterday afternoon, (in the middle of the stimulating conversation) and this morning when I returned at 7:45, there are now 70 e-mails between your asking if my elk-hair caddis is one of Hans' and my reply. I cannot get my CDC caddis to look anything like Hans' creations, so mine are very ordinary.

Don: I don't have any answers. I'm not very clever or original, and I always think I'm too old to learn new things, so I find my tying and fishing entrenched in ruts. But I do know that if you come to the Huntington Creek, I'll show you where the Browns will not take a $14 Elk-hair Caddis, but change it to a #16 and they'll make your day. Go figure.
