I didn't "create" it. I just retouched it, got rid of the fly line.

But I guess all my pictures are suspect now.

Remember I NEVER lie about fishing.... but some times I exaggerate. <grin>

Yep I took it, although what you see is a bit of an illusion. The fish
was actually caught and I simply pulled it up out of the water a bit
and took the picture... then did a little judicious retouching in
Photoshop to make the line disappear. In other words, I cheated!

That was my first fishing trip on the South Fork of the Snake and it
turned out to be a dandy. The water was running low and the Cuts were
slamming both dry flies and droppers. The best fly of the day was an
ugly Turk's Tarantula (not a pretty one like Guy Turk ties). They were
slamming that fly, and guy walked over to see what I was using, and as
I stripped it in to show him a Brown slammed it! It was that kind of
day. You can see the rest of the pictures from that trip here:

My personal favorite of all of my fish pictures is "Autumn Brown". You
can see that here: http://community.webshots.com/album/232383/1

Just click on the "Autumn Brown" link.

I confess I love taking pictures of the fish I catch. 98% of the time
I just pull the fish into shallow water, take the picture then revive
and release the fish... without the fish ever leaving the water. I
think they are much prettier in the water anyway. I usually put the
rod in for scale. What you will usually never see is ME in the
picture although there are a couple there in those albums. Nothing
ruins a good fish picture more than a gloating human in the background!

It is called "Rise to Fly".

Hey Tom, did you take this picture? It's an outstanding photo.
