Just a quick note to say that my birthday present from my wife is a trip to the IFTS show in Sommerset this next Saturday, complete with an as-of-yet undisclosed amount of "tying supplies" money to add to my current piggy-bank. I'm hoping to find a dun neck or saddle and some z-lon (or a decent substitute) there. I've never had either, and the lack of any dun hackle (well, dry hackle, that is - I have had my share of dun hen) has proven most interesting to say the least! Speaking of which, is there a cheap alternative to z-lon? Mark R- I'm bringing a batch of those salmon hooks for ya' in various sizes, hope to meet up with you there somehow. I'll only be there saturday, all day. Anyone who is going to this show, I'll be in a tan VFB hat, blue jeans, and a hunter-green flece jack- shirt. tall, red goatee, glasses... have no clue how else to describe myself, but that should do.
