Hey, Murf: I was reading in a catalog yesterday about opportunities in the log
home business. This would certainly appeal to me. I would have my "model" log
home built on prime real estate somewhere on the banks of a fine trout stream,
and use the home/cabin also as an office. I can see it
happening..................

Friends,
Forgive this off-topic post but I'll tie in the flyfishing and tying at the
end.

After 29 very successful years in the same business, (3 sales management
followed by 26 sales), I've resigned to look for a new career or business
opportunity. My heart yearns for new challenge and I'm asking for advice you
would be
willing to share off list.

I know there is a diverse and deep knowledge pool within you all and I'd be
very grateful for any insight of any kind. My quandary is whether to follow my
interest in mentoring sales people as a consultant or manager, start my own
business or think outside the box. You good folks have a wealth of knowledge
and I'd be thankful for any suggestions or ideas. Especially of interest is
what YOU do, have done and why.

Flyfishing & tying content: Since resigning, I have not fished or tied at
all. This hobby is my favorite form of relaxation and as winter approaches,
the
list(s) is my sole "tie" to it. I've dropped everything (including a fly
swap I was in) to focus on my search. Oh! I did take a former client
flyfishing
the week after resigning and caught a fair number on a creek I enjoy.

As a gesture of gratitude for responding to me, I will "share back" with some
flys I have found incredibly good which may not be in your fly box yet. I'll
let you choose which pattern and email you the rest of my recipes for "Murf's
favorite few" flys. At the least, you'll have a personal thank you from me
and something from my vice. I'll tie these individually for each of you and
think of you as I tie so you know these come from the heart. (Give me a little
time if I get a lot of responses)

I trust no one is offended by this post and offer my deepest apologies if you
are. Thank you for taking a minute to consider my request and now back to
FLY FISHING & TYING!

Sincerely,
Dave "Murf" Murphy
