Got in from the IFTS (I MADE IT! Even despite my beat-up 84 chevy 1-ton pickup and Rt 287 being detoured through Rutgers campus, I made it!) saturday eve and have had the flu since. The show was awesome, and i got to meet somewhere around 5 or 6 VFBers. Got an AWESOME deal on a Herbert Milner Med. Dun neck from Byard, as well as an unheard- of discount on Bronze mallard (5x 6-feather packs for 1 buck!) from another seller. I was tempted to buy a blue-eared pheasant pelt from Keough, until I saw the price... YOWSERS! I'll stick to the schlapen and ring-neck rumps for my spey flies... all the while lamenting the lack of availability of heron or a good substitute. Silly legal rules...
In any case, once i get up and about from being sick, I'd love to be in this swap. Must admit that I seldom tie parachute flies, but I've been looking for a "flame under my rear" to get me going in this direction. SO! Count me in on this swap, if there are any openings left. I still have somewhere around 100 e-mails to sort through, so if it is closed, it's all good. I also need the address for the Hare's ear swap. I think I asked for it before and either it never got to me or I misplaced it a second time... not sure which is more likely... in any case, could someone please send me the address for that swap? Oh and the final # to send... I went nuts for my own flybox and have over 6 or 7 dozen tied up.
