Glad you liked it Mark. I was tying those for my tube class in January and I ended up giving all of them away at the show. I came home with some pretty neat flies in exchange though. :) Dave Schmezer gave me a cicada that I LOVE!!! He is a riot! Steve came home with a pocket full of Byards special caddis flies so he didn't give me such a hard time this trip even though my little darlings were in rare form. :) I probably won't submit that to a magazine but I plan on sending some more flies to Hans. I don't know the origin of the pattern but it is one that I got from Ed Belasky my saltwater mentor so there is a good chance it is his original pattern. He is one of them most gifted tyers I know and he has loaned me his tarpon and tube flies so that I can reproduce the patterns. I learn so much doing this. He doesn't use conventional materials in many of his flies so it makes me think outside the box. Eventually I can apply all of this knowledge to my own creations. He is my biggest salt water inspiration and a rare individual to share so much. He gave his permission to send the flies I tied for Hans site also. There are so many talented tiers I meet that stay away from circuit tying and then their patterns are lost to time. Enjoy, Deb
