What a day! All 6 of my kids, their spouses, 6 grandkids and two more on the way, yes, my middle son's wife is expecting again and so is my youngest daughter. She found out Monday. It was a wonderful surprise, for she and Dale had been considering in-vitro. It took them 4 years to have Kellen, and we celebrated his fifth birthday yesterday. I think the good Lord was looking over them for sure. We also celebrated Chris my middle-son's birthday yesterday too. Jody and I are looking forward to two "summer babies".
Anyway, it was a happy day for all, with the traditional turkey , 24 pounds, cornbread dressing and Jody's litebread dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, tossed salad, broccoli-rice, etc. , etc., tea, 5 kinds of wine, Pies - sweet tater, pecan, apple, Jody's special pumpkin pie and of course a big birthday cake for Chris and Kellen.
All are gone back to their homes now except, Chris, Cathie and little Catie, they'll be heading back to Houston this afternoon.
As you might imagine, it gets very QUIET around here once everyone leaves. Ahhhh, sweet quiet !

P.S. At dinner, I told everyone about Iain's post about our American Thanksgiving. That got a huge laugh from all.

Glad you had such a grand holiday Jimmy. Our was real nice too. We went to
the Riverside and had diner with a lot of friends.......fellow memebers of
the CFTG, Joan Wulff and Ted Rogowski were there, bassist Russel George, and
some bamboo fishing friends. They severed it buffett style like they always
do, and it was great. Football games on the T.V.s (video) and Christmas
carols in the background, (audio). Everyone over did it of course. I only
had a small second helping and a big piece of blueberry Pie (with a LOT of
real whip cream) for desert. "Only" was the key word, LOL. mark....
