If you're stuck with some extra flies you want to trade, I made http://www.FlyPools.com which does pretty much the same thing as the 'perpetual fly swap' but without the physical box getting sent around the world with the extra challenges that has created. It is a pool of flies that tyers can add to and retrieve from at any time.
Thre's a simple registration page and instruction page. Folks can view the fly choices first and send in flies when they want. Each fly has a photo and recipe. There's currently about 2 dozen fly patterns in the pool. There are no costs except postage, nothing for sale, and no advertising - the site is just for fun.
If you have extra flies from a swap that did not fill or a half dozen extras, you could trade them in the Fly Pool. If you have some constructive criticism or questions about the site, I'd appreciate hearing from you directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] rather than clutter this list.
