Don, since i had never ran accros that article that AC had done on faol, i decided to take an indepth look at it. All pretty interesting stuff, but i've never gotten into weaves much. Tony showed me a real nice one at the Sowbug, but he did it so fast that i never really got it, because i didn't have the tool he used and couldn't go and practice soon. That was the problem when Denny showed it to me at the DRC FAOL Fish-In three years back too. You get it shown to you in a matter of seconds, and then your sposed to have it. LMAO. It don't work that way. You need to take a bit of time and actually do it, and have any mistakes corrected while still in the presence of the instructor. And if you don't have the tool nessessary, "Forget about it," by the time you do..............lol. Anyway, i've just never really gotten weaves down at all. I need to take a class on just that. Was going to do just that at the FFF I.C. this past Aug., but the instructor had an automobile accident on the way to the Conclave, so the class was cancelled. I ened up in Kirian Frye's tying with glass beads class. That was a lotta fun. I've known Kirian for years because he does one Sat. a year at the CFFC&M as a special guest tyer, and i see him at other shows. Real nice guy from PA. I think he's a Guedbroud (sp?) rep too. Kirian had just been over to the Mountain Man Rondezvous (which was in town and where i later ended up) and bought a huge stash of glass beads with the silver linnings. I scored too. Thankx for bringing the just of this thread to light. mark...

Todd,
Compare them to the photo that Rene posted. If they are the same, hang on
to them for sure. Just send me a photo of them, especially a shot from
below. I may do a tying sequence for the belly-weave on Byard's home page,
then maybe we'll have a go at a swap. We can probably get 10 variations of
the Pott's belly-weave using different colors and materials. This makes a
great scud pattern, too. Someone may even want to do a woven hackle collar-
probably Debbie D and Mark Romero...

Then after we can do a square-knot weave swap.
I can hear Mark now..."Weave me alone!"

DonO
