Any significant other who complains you have too much stuff needs to be
retrained!! Try putting a tape recorder under the pillow endlessly
repeating "fishing stuff is more important than food" and "yes dear whiting
necks ARE better than silly diapers". Good luck, failure at retraining can
have dire consequences such as entering into bargaining agreements involving
"cultural" events and in-laws.

As to the fishing related part of this. I have seen a lot of the more
"modern" plastic type materials in flys and I too prefer the more
traditional look. I have even seen "flies" in the shop made from molded
plastic-might as well be powerbait!!

Kevin,

The flies, depending on size, were about $4.00 - $5.00 apiece, that is why I
decided to tie my own. I picked up a pack of the Mother of Pearl with the
intention of using other materials underneath. I think I am going to get a
pack of the silver and maybe blue so that I can follow the actual recipe.
Damn this hobby gets expensive! My girlfriend, who once thought it was a
neat hobby that kept me out of trouble, is now starting with the "Don't you
have enough stuff?", "You have more stuff than you could ever use." and "No
you cannot to go to the craft store with me!" comments.

Is there an ethical delima with using these things? It feels like I am one
step away for chucking worms! LOL

I have not fished the Current since July, and the Meramec since Setpember.
I am not a big fan of the parks, but Bennet was good this weekend. Sunday
morning I landed 10 within an hour, and missed just as many hits.
