Hi everyone,
My wife and I will be in Toronto this summer for an extended period of time (late may to mid- july). As this is too long of a time to go without fishing (for me, at least!), I was wondering what was up in the Toronto area fish-species-wise and location-wise. I've heard that the great lakes hold some salmon or steelheads - big 'uns, in any case - and I'm curious what is available close to Toronto. Well, trout of any kind are great, too! We'll be living out of a hotel, but will have a car, so we can travel a tad. Is it too early/late/warm for that type of fishing, that far north?
Thanks a ton, and tight wraps,
Pete
PS- Guess a trip to the Metolius in Oregon has been put off yet ANOTHER year... as is the Clearwater Junction show i was hoping to tie at... I'll get there yet!!

Pete, not sure how far you might want to travel, but you are in range of one of the neatest flyfishing streams I have ever waded.... the Grand near Guelph.... you will be there early enough to hit the Hendrickson hatch, which is interesting is as much as I understand that the hendricksons there have a different general body color than those typically seen in a lot of places....

but the biggest clue for the grand is ................ caddis, cadddis, caddis............ did I mention caddis?

man, I gotta get back...
