After formatting my hard drive and reloading XP I’m back on line. Biggest problem was tying to live-update the anti-virus definitions before receiving a virus, trojan or hidden adaware threat.   Thank you to all those who offered advice. I discovered that I had to jab the F2 key at the precise moment to get to the windows setup program. Now, to reload all my back-ups!   Cheers…………..Nev Gosling
