Is it harder to use hackle than cdc with the magic tool?
I have been trying to use an Indian neck feather to make a nymph.

Not at all hard Rick. If the feather is too short to grab both ends try this... Stroke the fibers so they stick out at 90 degrees. Lay on top of the table clamp. Using a piece of wire or mono pull it down into the clamp. You can also add some dubbing to the mix at the same time.
