Hey all, I'm guilty of the following:

2. Anything involving the family pet(s) and the ensuing procurement of
tying materials.

Does taking a beard-trimmer to the pet rabbit count? he has a reverse mohawk, and my a$$ has my wife's footprint...

3. Causing a traffic jam in your pursuit of road kill

Hey, hunters spend all day to get what I got in a few minutes of cutting...

5. Dyeing your own materials not to save money, but to get 'just the
right' shade.
6. Anyone who uses bark, tea leaves, roots, etc to dye materials.
7. Taking a vacation to tie flies
10. Owns more tying gear and materials than fishing gear.

By far, but then I've been tying for 11 years and fishing but 2 or so.

11. People think of you first as "The fly tier", even before your
profession.
12. Has more fur and feathers than he/she could ever use in a lifetime, and sees no reason not to collect more.
13. Has a library for fly-tying.
14. Has an dedicated area for fly tying that never gets used for anything else.
15. Not only has combed/clipped a fur-bearing pet, but has harvested their whiskers for antennae.

poor bunny...

19. Gets a rush from seeing Whiting Cree or exotic bird plumage.
20. Ties classic Atlantic Salmon Flies

Do classic Speys and classic pre-1900 flies count? Even without this, I think i qualify...
Tight wraps,
Pete
PS - Scouted out the local water around the new house... <drool> Upper Perkiomen is less than 50 feet (and a 15 foot drop) from the house... Browns over 20" are NORMAL there! Now I just need to cut steps in the back yard to get to it... but that's after the official move date.
