Ok Don where can one get the sheeting that is strong enough to hold hooks?
I haven't been able to find any locally. The only way the stuff around here
works is to have the magnet side facing outwards, a little dark that way.

Todd,
Try a magnetic backing instead of foam. Thinner and holds all hooks except
stainless.
