Hi Ed, 

Thanks for mentioning the lead-free solder.  The reason I don't use it is
because it's lighter and costlier than plain old copper wire.  

I've wanted to experiment with tungsten wire but was deflected by the minimum
order requirements.  Since I don't know if the wire will be malleable enough to
be wrapped effectively, I was reluctant to sink $30 into the experiment.  It's
always been my impression that tungsten filament wire was fairly brittle.
