Jimmy,
I'm really sorry to hear about your best friend, Steve, getting into a bad auto accident and receiving a severe head injury.  Being a Paramedic, I know how bad head injuries can be.  My prayers go out to him and his family, that he pulls out of it and recovers quickly with no ill effects...

Subject: [VFB] Need Your Prayers / bad auto accident

I just got a call from Valerie Taylor, my best friend Steve Taylor's wife telling me that Steve was in a really bad auto accident late Tuesday.  Steve has a severe head injury and the doctor, who is also a good friend of Steve's, is treating him.  He said the next 24 hours were critical, but so far Steve is holding his own.

Steve and I were Scout Executives together in the BSA, here in Texas for many years and have also been fishing buddies all along the trail. He and I had talked earlier Tuesday about my coming to his Scout Camp, Camp Daniel Boone to teach Fly Fishing Merit Badge this coming summer.     Steve goes with me each September, to the week-long Fly Fishing Invitational at Philmont Scout Ranch near Cimarron, NM.

Please keep Steve, Valerie and the rest of the family in your prayers.  Prayer works wonders.  It certainly did for my Jody.

Thanks,

JIMMY   D
