That's a lot of flies, but he'll go through them pretty quick, learning how
to cast and fish them. He'll ornament quite a few trees and underwater

He has 6 of each, so that will do for the time. If he shows an interest in tying I would love to do that.
I'm hoping that the tree and river Gods will take it easy on him till he gets the hang of it. I have suggested that he practice casting with one of the "casting Flies" I gave him. I took a couple of flies with bright wings and clipped the barb and bent the bend closed. I did this to two Red Buggers, two Royal Wulffs, two Red GRHE and two Cahills tied in White. This way he can get used to casting the four major types of flies. I tied them in Reds and Whites to facilitate seeing the fly and what it is doing on the cast.
