I have suggested that he practice casting with one of the "casting Flies" I gave him.
Hey everyone,
You know, I need to try that out - I've been told my flies are "good enough to catch a fish" (I differ, but that just means there's always room for improvement), but my casting... well, let's just say that I'm a newbie! I can spey- cast 2-handed, but can't single-handed cast a 5 weight to save a derned... any other suggestions on how to improve my skill, now that I've been doing things wrong for the last two years or so?

Lefty Kreh has a casting DVD that is great. I highly recommend it...even to experienced performers...;^)
