If they had been Merriam turkeys I would've aimed for them.  <VBG>   My jeep
is too new to waste the grill on these fat lazy birds (They're cinnamon
colored turkeys).   I get them in my back yard at our feeders pretty often
also.  They're pretty big but you're right Tom I need to be more careful.
It was foggy all day here and I could've easily gotten hit from behind.

if you are going to plough thruogh em, take shears and collect the tail 
feathers especially any white tipped tail feathers for salmon flies.

Deb..with regards to the turkeys, just plow thru 'em...ya hate too but it
beats getting hurt over it...i did the same thing on the way back home this
morning and it was only 2 of them.  My CD player hit the floor...plow thru  
'em
and pick the feathers outta the grill when you get home!!
