Well,

After our ungraceful kerploosh in the St. Johns River on Saturday, things have been less eventful but more productive. We went fishing Monday with John Meskauskas on the east coast, and got into the Spanish Mackerel during the morning, then quit at about noon.  We went back out with him at 8 in the evening to fish snook around the docks, and had a great evening.  Caught lots of snook up to the 5lb range, and fished until about 3 in the morning.  Came in Tuesday, had dinner with Cheryl and her sister (returning from their visit to Ocala), and spend most of Wed. with Cheryl before she flew back.  Today I went to the east coast from Titusville to Daytona (Jerry had to work) and the wind was really bad from the east, so fishing was a no-go.  Tomorrow I head for the Tampa, St. Pete area and I’ll see if I can get as far South as Ft. Meyers to see Ginger.  I hope to be able to fish around the Clearwater/St. Pete area, as these are my old fishing grounds.

Veronica figured out why we went swimming on Saturday.  I set the canoe (a double-pointer) into the river, then got in the front seat to take the weight off the stern, which was still beached.  Then Jerry got in without pushing off into deep water.  His weight was then balanced only by the point of the canoe.  You can envision the rest.  There was no way to balance the canoe with one tip on dry land.  No harm done, unless you count drowning my cell phone.

Tonight is the fly-club meeting and I’m scheduled to give a demo there on rope-dubbing and on awesome-hair, and do the “Baits Motel” routine/demo.

More later.
