For what it is worth, I must admit that I really
love Overton's wax..he has just the right amount of resin to his wax base so
when you touch it with your fingers and put it on your thread, it leaves just
the very finest coat of the resin with little of that sticky, waxy, buildup that
you get with other waxes. So, when he is in production again, may I suggest that
you get a tube from Byard..his newest batch is superior even to that old green
tube that you have been using. I've never had a more "perfect" wax than this
newest batch. It just may change your mind about using wax. And, it is really
neat when you tie with plain old polyester sewing thread for bigger flies.
