Subject: [VFB] Ice, Ice, Ice..... a fishing report

Hey everyone,
Well I finally got out for my first trip of 2005 to chase Steelhead. Dad and I got to the creek a little before first light. The wind was blowing and there was a little rain falling, but that's too be expected for winter steel. We fished for a few hours and only saw 2 fish swim by, not staying in one spot too long.  I had knocked the ice out of my guides a couple times and had ice forming on my rod and line as well when we decided we better head home before the roads got coated with ice as well, when we got to the truck the bed was covered with ice and by the time we got home so was the front of the truck.

All and all it was a very cold day, but at least we got out for a bit. Hopefully next weekend the creek is up a bit and the fish will be plentiful.

Jim
