Try tying lead eyes to the top of the hook near the bend. It'll keep the weight on top of the hook so the point stays up. And for hellies floating downstream, presentation going forward or backward doesn't matter since the naturals are basically tumbling in the current.

Does that make any sense?

Hey if you're tying hellies, is it better to tie them with the hook point up or down?

I know its better to tie up due to it not getting caught up on stuff on the bottom, but how exactly am I to make sure I tie it so it floats point up??

PS: so far, I am tying them point down...
