As others have said, the clinch knot on the bend always works for me.

One thing to try if you're having trouble might be to first tie the knot around your finger or something else, cinch it lightly, then put on the hook bend and tighten the rest of the way. It's sometimes tricky to keep the loop in the knot around the bend of a small fly. Since there's no closed eye like when you're tying to the front of the fly, the loop in the clinch knot can slip off the bend. Can be tricky to tie on the dropper section w/ cold fingers.

OK, for those that fish Dropper flies. What knot do you use on the bend of
the first hook to attach the dropper tag line? I was thinking that a clinch
knot or improved clinch knot is what I would use. But wondered what other
"More" experienced folks use.
