mercury problem. I mean so does half the fish you eat.........more or less. 
Spose it would matter if you used it everyday like a fiend........but if 
it's just a once a week deal......... and not even every week.............??

Bad thing is that Bag Balm has Mercury in it as a compound.

My father was a large-animal veterinarian.  He spent a lot of time in
barns in the winter, washing his hands in cold water, etc.  He had a
severe problem with skin cracking.  WHen they cracked, he'd get out
the bag balm.  He swore by it.  ANd yes, it's still available:
