There must be at least ten or more types of Tulip paint. All have different characteristics. Puff paint is different than Slick as the others are to Slick paint. I have been using the Slick paint 13 years for eyes. The first came from my wife's craft stuff, then she made me buy my own. I have thinned the Slick many times with water but water will not thin all the different types. As you mention below, there are a lot of different uses for the different types.
One thing about a "Flytyer" if it is available, we can find a use for it from dryer lint to discarded candy wrappers.

I remember seeing, somewhere, some instructions for using tulip paint much as you would latex. You would dribble it onto paper plates in the shape of legs and stuff. Let it dry and peel it off. Try a google search of tulip paint and fly or some such.

Morning folks,
A friend of mine gave me some tubes of Fabric Paint, "Tulip Slick" in
particular. They thought that I could possible use it in my fly tying. Is
anyone familiar with this product? Can it be thinned? Some of them seamed to
have "stiffened" up a bit and need to be thinned and mixed again. Not sure
if they are salvageable yet or not. Also have one tube of copper colored
glitter. There are 12 colors so it has possibility, just not sure what yet.
Any suggestions?
Jimi
