I have tied at the same shows that Bob has tied at. I have some shots of Bob with a Fox Tail coming out the back of his head and him doing a dance with it flowing all over the place. Bob needed some Turkey wing feathers, I had a pair of wings that I gave him at the Seven Springs Show, I said what are you tying with them. He said he needed them for kids indian head dress. Glad someone could use them. I have some other stories but will let them be.
LOL
Quite a guy, always joking.

Don, you're right! He is just plain nice guy.

I've got a Clouser story too - probably of no interest to anyone but Martha and I. We had been in Pennsylvania in the Amish country. We were heading back to the Yellow Breeches to fish. I was the program chairman of our club and wanted to see if I could get Bob Clouser to come to Indy to talk to our club. After having to ask a policeman for directions, we found his shop, which is a big room attached on to the side of his home. We went in and nobody was in the shop, though we could hear a TV blaring in the house. We waited a while, then I knocked on the door a couple of times. Still nobody. So I took a coin and tapped on the glass top of his old display case. A younger (40-ish) fellow (one of Bob's two sons) came running out, saying, "We're being invaded." I said, "Well, we're not REALLY invading you." He said, "I mean WE are being invaded. America is being invaded! Get in here!" He rushed back into the house.

We went in. Bob was sitting there in a bathrobe and barely acknowledged us, saying, "Find a seat." It was 9:15 or so in the morning of 9/11/2001. We watched the World Trade Center collapses with the Clousers.

We were there well over an hour before we finally said hello. It turned out that Bob had undergone an out-patient hernia repair the day before.

For some reason we weren't in the mood to fish the Yellow Breeches. After we left, we stayed overnight at Boiling Springs and then drove on back home.

We had Bob out later that Winter. Heckuva great program, heckuva great guy.

Now if I could just meet Don Ordes..............but not under similar circumstances.

Allan
