Del, i sell regular ole' trout flies for a buck apiece as well. And as far as i know most shops don't want to buy flies for more than $9 a dozen, which is ok if they provide the hooks. There is really no money in tying commercially unles you can REALLY pump out flies, and don't mind doing it, day in and day out. Takes a certain personality to even eek out a livng doing that. And we are NOT talking a very GOOD living at all. Spose you could get by, but what is that? I've got a fortune in vises, hooks, materials, tools, framed flies and etc., etc., etc........(books/DVD's/videos..............i'll NEVER make a tenth of it back. But who cares.......lmao. It's the FUN FACTOR that matters. It's going to be interesting to see what happens now that the Tsunami has sposedly wiped out some of the foreign fly market. The shops were getting pretty well tyed "out of country" product for VERY cheap there for a minute. Let's see how they fair now. Upqua will prolly "clean up" for a certain period of time. Dick Talleur was telling me that Tailand faired pretty well, and should be back up and running soon. This whole thing with the guy and e-bay has got to be some Twilight Zone ****. lmao, mark.....

Read the spring Orvis catalog. I just did. Now I'm positive I'm saving money by tying my own flies.

OK, My flies sell directly from me for $1.00 each, so he is going to sell them for $2.20. How many of you are going to pay $2.20 + shipping for a #14 Adams???? Let me know and I'll give you a discount of 20%. That makes it $2.00 even. I cant belive this guy. Also, there are about 15 questions he didnt answer.
