Hey everyone,
Regarding the 34's, I have to ask... are there naturals this small that fish feed on? And if so, with a blind-eye/ spade-eye, how does one fish these size 34's? Is it more a novelty than a practical device?
Just curious,
Pete - who has only tied down to Mustad 28's... and only caught on as small as Tiemco 24's!

Pete, i've noticed that no one has responded to your querry. Ya gotta figure
there has to be naturals that size fish do feed on........Daphnia (sp?) for
one thing. Which i take it is a type of extremely small shrimp like
creature. From some videos i have, seems the huge Bows in some of the lakes
in Britain eat almost nothing else except for midge larva. They swim around
in huge clusters and the trout just suck 'em up. The real question however
is....are there times when they actually "Key" on anything that small. Which
imho would be the only time worth fishing with such a fly. And if you did, i
guess you'd have to snell your tippet (10X) in advance to the fly (hook),
and then tye that to the leader somehow. ?? mark............nothing i'd want
to do
