Howdy, Cuz. This is Tom Davenport. I suspect we are related somewhere back there, although you probably come from the famous Southern Davenports and my earliest US ancestor came from Holland or England in the early 1800. Nobody knows for sure, but we do know he was an immigrant.

I have a nephew Steve Davenport who fly fishes for bass near his home in Hawaii, and I have been trying to get him to join this list... for a minute I thought he had come aboard.

I've noticed there are a few patterns on the VFB tied by Steve Davenport, are those yours?

The most important thing is you have a Froggie which means your a friend of Tony's and any friend of Tony's is a friend of mine!

Glad to have you aboard.

Tom

Welcome aboard, Steve! As you can already tell the VFB is a pretty
diverse
list. Everything from fly fishing, tying, rod building, pros and
cons on equipment, daily fishing quote, to just some good natured
"Banter". If you'd like to know more about me, just click on my

Hey Y'all!

Let me introduct myself...I'm Steve Davenport. A bit about me.
Lets see, I live in Newnan, GA, have a wonderful wife and two
beautiful little girls, and I'll finish my 40th trip
around the sun
next week. My interests, fishing, fly tying, camping, hunting,
kites and good cigars....

Seems over the past couple of weeks that I've been following this
list there's been a few folks sayin' hello. Thought it might be
time I jump into the fray. I've seen quite a few names here I
recognize from other listserver or bulletin boards, some
of those I
haven't seen in a while - good to know y'all are still around and
kickin'!

I fish for bream and bass mostly, due to location as much as
anything. Love to fish for trout and saltwater fishes too. Like
many here I'm a fly tier and will build a rod on occasion. Have
been doing a little commercial tying the past year or so.
Think A.
Fish may have given my website a plug or two along the
way recently.

Later,
