I think you need to switch glue to a water based one (or upgrade your present ventilation system).
Or if you want to try Don's "economy ear solution" (below)... be careful. I
tried it once but the wax wasn't good enough, so I COMBINED it with the glue
to get the most out of what I had in front of me. I tell you this as a
friend to another: Be sure that you pick out the wax BEFORE you start to
play around with the glue. I had to wait for a week to get an appointment
for a surgical removal of my finger tip... which is still stuck in my ear,
reducing my hearing.

Yeah, Dave, Wiggle your finger in your ear and then rub it on the thread. Your dubbing will stick to it then. You'll find some good dubbing just inside that hole in your belly, just above your belt buckle.
