Byard has been slowly helping me get my vest down to size. First he helped me reduce my number of fly boxes from 20 to about 4, see Sci-Ang at Lines End. Next, he suggested reducing the 12 pack of beers down to .....................2, sniff (thank God for quarts). I feel much better now! And the day after fishing, I no longer get that "migraine".
If I could only say Byard was a better mentor. Good friend, yes, advisor.....???...well...
Seems me buddy has enticed me to buy every sku (stock keeping unit) from Lines End and gift me some I don't buy. I like Byard, he's a great guy but my vest now weighs a bit more than last year.
So what if I carry an AK Best pedestal vise? It only weighs 8 lbs.
Maybe you all can encourage Byard to begin sharing Whiting feathers with me as they have little weight? What say ye all? _Murf

My husband gave me that disapproving look when I told him about my last post
describing his fishing outfit. I told him that at least one of you guys
were going to read that post and say heh! Ha ha ha I won. Boys and their
toys. :)

Deb you're wrong about the hydration pack. It's a great way to carry a lot of water. I have one in my Backpack that carries about 2 liters of water, I'll easily go through that in a 5 hour hike. It's also extremely convienient to have the tube with the bite valve so you don't have to mess around to get a drink. As long as you clean it it's not discusting. Currently I carry a water filtration bottle while fishing. It allows me to get Cold water anytime I want.
