Rene, the Sierras in northern Ca. are actually the Sierra Nevada range. There is another Sierra range called the Sierra Madre but it's in Mexico. And i think it may come up into Ca. also a bit. But i don't think that's where you were either. Glad you get to go back again. Try to get to Hot Creek if you can......the trout population per mile there is incredable. mark.....

Mark, no it was east of L.A. in Southern California. Maybe I mixed it up with the Sierras.
I was exploring the area to see where I can fish when I'm there for the next time.
But there was no next time till now.

Is that Santa Anita Canyon the same as where Santa Anita race track is? If so it sure isn't the Sierras. In fact i doubt it's the Sierras no matter. But i bet it is a beautiful place. The Sierras are a northern Calif. Mt. Range. When were you there? mark

Santa Anita Canion,
A neat little canion east of L.A. in the Sierras. Near Fullerton, where Bob Marriotts is located.
Lots of old cabins there, most of them from actors. A waterfall at the end of the canion, little brooke there.

I'm not sure, but I asume I visited one of the places where he fished. At least it was the place where his cabin was.
